We got a Buddhist lama to pray and bless the house and the future occupants of the house. We prepared a variety of fruits, candies, rice, flowers for the prayer session. Also erected some sort of pit which was later used to burn the said offerings. Then the lama sprinkle the blessed water all over the house. We also hung 'flags' on our roofs (for protection). Now my house looks like a carnival!
Ours was more a Buddhist ritual than Taoism's.
Tea, rice, oil & salt, make sure have all those, so that able to make a good living while living in the new house. Must boil water. (Superstitious beliefs)
No hacking or works to be done to the house until next year. Hung Fengshui chimes at specific spots all over the house. (As directed by Fengshui master)
