After my usual chasing of red herrings, I got that the author's name is spelled 'Robert Sheckley," and that he wrote many, many stories, novels, etc.

**Wiki says that though he was given a prize for his work, he wasn't given top prize, and the Wiki writer says it is because Sheckley was known as an 'absurdist,' a 'humorist along the lines of Mark Twain...' which eclipsed/categorized his work as a sci-fi, fantasy, etc. writer into that of a 'humorist' writer.

Strong suggestion is that you put in the author's name at the wiki link above (spelled right)...
Then, more importantly, go all the way to the end of that entry to "External Links," often the best offerings by Wiki, and click on any blue link you like there.

I already checked the link mentioned to http://www.gutenberg.org
And the only books listed there are:
