Hand Done

About 3 weeks ago I was involed in an accident and my hand was hit by the airbag. My whole forearm/hand was swollen there after and stills looks a little swollen now (can only tell when compared to other hand). I can feel pain only when I touch the bone in the center of my hand connected to my ring finger and feel pain when I do things such as playing sports. I am also now having a harder time holding my textbooks just in that hand. Something I can easily do with the other hand.
What can I do to speed up the recover if this is a minor injury?
PS. I type all day at work and can do that fine.
You may have bruised the bone, or you might have a small fracture. To be sure, you should get an x-ray of your hand. Do this as soon as you can, because if there's something that needs to be repaired, it should be fixed before the bones heal in an awkward position.
