Sword Cherry

Planting 15 gallon tank ( help me set it up)?

Ive got a spare 15 gallon tank wanted 2 plant dwarf hairgrass and Glossostigma
lighting is currently 2x 24watt what substrate should i use? also plants java moss, java fern, anubias, amazon sword. Only having red cherry shrimp's in tank.. any suggestions as to how to plant these and what substrate 2 use?
well ive decided 2 use Eco complete but how many L do i need of it 4 a 15 gallon?

I think Fluorite is the substrate usually recommended for these types of plants, a clay based gravel, but a sandy one with the occasional fertilizing tablet added should work as well. Or even a mixture, perhaps the fertilizer on bottom and sand or gravel on top.
Some people, since the fertilizer soil is rather pricey, will only use it in certain small areas, like using little shallow buckets or dishes to hold the fluorite, so it's only were the plant is, and you can get by using a lot less.
The main concern is the hair grass and glossostigma, as the other plants you listed are hardy, relaivelly easy plants. The amazon sword can be planted into the substrate just as the grass and glosso. But the annubias, java fern and moss will need to be anchored down. I some times zip tie my java ferns or annubias to a river rock, so that they can be somewhat planted, but not so much that their rhyzomes are smothered.
You'll have to keep an eye on the anubias, as with this high of lighting, algea will grow readily on the broad leaves. They're prone to being chocked out by the algea in well lit tanks.
Best of Luck!
