painting a teapot ... haha need help?

something my grandmother really wants is a teapot new ... idk why she just had the same metal beatup ugly for a long period. I think it would be nice to paint it for her, but I'm certainly not clever AT ALL. haha im terrible. I think I have a little paint and stuff in my basement so I was wondering if someone could give the decoration tips and ideas for beginners. I have googled but they all seemed to be advice for white pottery teapots. too, paint will burn when the heat is on? thats super embarrassing. and I feel like an idiot thank you anyway ... hahahaha good thing i didn't try ... wouldve burned my house haha

I would not paint an ancient artifact that belongs to an older person - It may seem to fight, but it may hold nostalgic value that would be destroyed by the paint. And yes, you can paint kettle, if that's what you're talking about, but you need to use paint high temperature, type of paint that car with motors. The problem is that the paint is intended to be used under the hood, or on a machine, not on what to use in the kitchen, painted when the item is heated for the first time, even the smells of high temperature paint pretty bad.
