The name of the ninja movie from the 80's?

Hi guys!
this movie is about teenage friends, there are five or seven of them. At the beginning they basketball jumping from ramps with bmx. Later, they are sent(I don't know by whom) to get a some kind of pot/vase that is guarded by a giant. After they obtained it, that pot/vase breaks and there some kind of medallions for each of them. They are told if they move their hand in a some kind of circular motion they will transform into ninjas. As I remember, white smoke and animated dragon appears and they are white ninjas. I watched this movie when I was around 5 and I can't remember any other details so if you know anything about this movie it would be appreciated. Thanks
